I am excited about the school year. Carroll County High School is a special place. We have the potential to make Carroll County High School the best school in the state. It will take students, parents, teachers, staff members, community members, governmental leaders, and business leaders to make this vision a reality. It will take all of us working together. I am committed to the vision and our school motto is, "Second to None!"
Although we have an atypical school year that has become necessary due to the COVID-19 virus, school has started relatively smoothly. I believe in our students and I believe in our teachers and staff.
Carroll County High School students are fantastic! We have a safe and orderly environment. Our attendance rate is among the best in Virginia. We have excellent athletic teams, competing for district, regional, and state events. Our band and chorus programs excel in competitions and concerts. We have vocational programs that have consistently competed in and placed in state and national competitions. Our JROTC program has been very successful in preparing students for the "Best of the Best" and Raider competitions. We will continue to strive for excellence in these areas. This is "Cavalier Pride."
Carroll County High School is committed to providing a safe learning environment that stimulates curiosity, develops positive personal qualities and well being, fosters respect for individual differences, encourages and welcomes parental involvement, and emphasizes high expectations for student achievement and behavior. Carroll County High School will be a place where teachers can teach and students can learn.
Creating and maintaining this environment is the shared responsibility of school personnel, students, and parents/guardians. Your continued involvement with your school and community is very important as we prepare for tomorrow's world. Together we can ensure that everyone will experience a productive and successful year.
